  53.      The keypad "Ins" key toggles the INSert and OVeRtype modes and
  54.      displays the current mode on the status line. In insert mode,
  55.      characters may be inserted wherever the cursor is. In overtype
  56.      mode, a character typed at the keyboard replaces the current
  57.      character. The keypad "Del" key deletes the current character.
  58.      The backspace () key deletes the previous character.
